Presidents Day

Today was a looooong day. Daddy is away and it's Presidents Day so we were home. M isn't feeling well at all – she has a low fever and a cough and a sore throat. She went to a birthday party this morning, but spent almost the whole afternoon and evening just resting on the couch. She's probably going to stay home from school tomorrow, sadly. A had a good time at the party and then went to her friend Natalie's afterwards for a few hours. Meanwhile, N was home with me. He had some good naps, and he went for a walk with me to pick up M after the birthday party.

We had a nice visit today from Lisa and Brooks, who is about 2 1/2 months younger than N. It was cute to watch them interact – they definitely noticed each other, and for the first time, N was possessive about his toys. (I guess no one here ever takes his toys from him or even looks at them!) At one point, N reached over and grabbed Brooks' toes. So cute. I see Brooks a lot on Lisa's blog, and it was so fun to see him in the flesh.

Tonight N rewarded me with an enormous poop in the bathtub just as I was about to take him out. That was fun.

Some fun photos to share.

Here is a gorgeous picture that M took of A a few days ago. It cements to me that M is a true photographer, someone who actually has a vision of what she wanst to capture through the lens, unlike me, who is purely functional with no artistic ability.

It’s always fun to read your blog — and am amazed at how happy all three of the children look! You are great parents who really seem to enjoy your children — unfortunately, more and more of a rarity!!!
I hope to see you all in person one of these days…..

Thanks for having us over to play/put all of N’s toys in our mouth — so nice to see you, N, and the girls. I’m disappointed we forgot to take a picture… we’ll have to remember that next time.
