Hurricane Sandy was kind to us. We lost power last night at 10, but it came back at 3 AM, so we didn't have to deal with too much inconvenience. Here is what happened over the last two days:
- Playdates with Ellen and Emily (at the same time)
- Piano lessons
- Online Hebrew lesson catch up (the girls were actually fighting today over who got to use the computer… shocking!)
- Remaining two pumpkins carved
- Double batch of Caramel Swirl Brownies baked
- M's Star of the Week poster finished
- A's book report finished
- Girls' bedroom cleaned up
- Basement re-oriented
Whew! Back to school tomorrow after 2 days off. Tomorrow is a big day – math club in the AM, Halloween parade and parties at 1:30. Friday is a half day so this is a very light week overall for the girls.
Here are some pics!
N's Sunday photo – M took the photo and the shirt was picked out by M&A:
Ms Star of the Week poster. She included things that define her and that are important to her – her brother and sister, us, Lucky, Imogene, her friend Emily, snow angels, her photo with Hillary, and Uncle Jonathan's plane!
Here are two more carved pumpkins (Nationals logo and baby rattle – nice job Daddy!):
And here are the blondies, which turned out more cake-like than cookie-like but are still yummy:
