The girls got haircuts today. They were LONG overdue. I think the last time they had their hair cut was either Memorial Day weekend or the weekend after – either way it was 9+ weeks ago. They are always resistant to getting haircuts. Today, though, they got their hair washed there, and a 2 inch trim, and a blow dry, and their hair looked GREAT afterwards. Here are pics:
A is now saying that she wants a haircut every 3 weeks! This is a big step and will hopefully mean much less resistance when it comes time to schedule appointments. Also, there was some confusion about our appointment and we had to wait a while when we got there, so the receptionist offered the girls some tea. They partook (see pic above), and A was very excited about how fancy the salon is because they offered us tea. Very cute.
They went to a birthday party this afternoon and were invited over for a sleepover afterwards. I guess they were good guests! That meant Daddy and I were down to 1 kid. We went out to dinner and took N with us. He slept through the whole meal. That's a good thing because I forgot the diaper bag with the spare bottle, the diapers, and the wipes. Mom is a little rusty!
We miss the girls but they will be home tomorrow.
Camp Mom starts Monday. I have a long list of things we need to do/want to do next week while they are out of camp. Here is a partial list:
- Buy the rest of the 3rd grade school supplies (we have most of them already)
- New lunchboxes
- New leotards, tights and ballet slippers
- Bethesda Pool
- Possible waterpark?
- Let's Dish to make dinners for the beach; girls are very excited!
- Finish summer assignment for school
- Possible new fall shoes?
- Practice piano
Two things on the list were accomplished today: haircuts and buy gimp for M so that she can make lanyards.
Here is a cute pic of N that I took right after his bath last night.
