Stella Adler and Salmonella Jif

Nothing momentous or notable happened today! Phew. N's playoff baseball game was rained out and the girls were mostly around and no one won an award or tested positive for covid or got dressed up or bought anything major (other than alcohol for the party, which was major).

BUT here are two things to share.

First, A got assigned to a studio at Tisch! Students do NOT get to pick or rank their studio; the school decides which studio is a good fit. A wanted to be in Stella Adler Studio… and she got it! It seems like a great fit for her. It provides a broad based acting education and has tons of famous alumni. She was very happy.

Second, we have two huge things of peanut butter that are affected by the Jif salmonella recall. N has been telling me NOT to throw out the peanut butter, but to instead put it on eBay. He said, "Someone will want it!" I told him he was nuts. Well, guess what? There is a listing on eBay for salmonella Jif. There are three bids and the current price is $3.50. The seller is offering free shipping and it's a HUGE jar (same as the ones we had – must be from Costco). Here is the description:

Salmonella Jif.

A jar of Jif peanut butter that is a part of the Salmonella recall. FDA recalled a bunch of jars from this batch. The contents of this jar could possibly be used for research, consumption, or intentional infection.

Nate was right.
