We've avoided most 9/11 coverage today, but I did tell the girls that today was an important and sad day for the country. I don't think they really understood what I was telling them – they are just too young. I didn't get into detail – just said that a lot of people died 10 years ago. A's reaction? "This is a bad day to have to go to Sunday School."
Today was Mother-Daughter Book Club at our house. Thank you to Daddy for arranging all of the cheese plates for me, much more beautifully than I could have. I did make some mice cupcakes, because Stuart Little figured prominently in the book.
Here are some pics of the cupcakes:
The girls helped me make them, and they were a big hit with the other girls. The discussion was good, but most of the girls were pretty hyper.
Sunday School started today too.
Those cupcakes look sooooo good. 9/11 was a very sad day for all, and I agree that M and A are a bit young to understand that tragedy.
Love,
Aunt Ann
