Post-Irene

Well, I spoke too soon last night about the hurricane. We lost power at 1AM. It came back on at 4AM for about 1 minute, then came back on at 9 AM for 15 minutes, and then came back on for good at 1PM. Lots of fits and starts. But we had a gorgeous sunny day starting around 1, and tonight we have the back door open and the cicadas are chirping.

We got some stuff done around the house today, and Daddy took the girls to the playground in the late afternoon to take advantage of the gorgeous day.

Ready to start the week. Allie is hanging in there but she is very slow on her walks (just to the end of the block) and her breathing is very labored.

Here are some pictures that M's teacher from first grade sent me. She and three students (M and her friends Lily and Gemma) went to the zoo last June, an outing that we won in the school auction:

Thanks for the pictures of M and the other girls. It looks like they are having fun. I’m glad to know that Hurrican Irene is gone, but “she” made a mess everywhere. Hope all of you are well.
Love,
Aunt Ann
