When M woke up this morning, I knew I needed to take a picture of her bed for the blog. She has 4 pillow pets plus a pillow that she needlepointed. She has been rotating the pillow pets and pillow each night so that she can sleep with each one equally at her head. So Dottie slept with her on Wednesday night and went to the end of the line yesterday morning, and then Bumble moved into prime position last night. M calls this "the life cycle of a pillow pet".

When I went into her room to take the photo this morning, I found that Allie had made herself comfortable on M's bed, which was very cute. So here are some pics of Allie on M's bed. You can see the pillows all lined up against the wall.

Funny – now that the girls are so social media-savvy, they often ask me not to post things on the blog, Facebook or Twitter. They know I like to take their entertaining comments and share them with the world, and now they choose which ones I can use. And while we were away, I posted a funny statement from M on Facebook, and she became obsessed with how many comments she has. She wanted to know how many comments posts usually get, and kept making me refresh the page to see how she was doing. I had to explain that some pages have a lot more followers than I do, such as some of my work pages, which are in the 4-5 million fan range, so she shouldn't be competing with those.

We are getting ready for the hurricane, which will hit here tomorrow. Today I want to buy some more flashlights and candles, do laundry, charge every device we have, and move frozen meat to the front of the fridge so that I can pull it out in a hurry and grill it for dinners.

Sigh.
