Harriet the Spies

Last night after I got home and the girls finished their homework, I took them out for YogiBerry. Beforehand, I gave them each a little notebook that I picked up at BEA. They each decided to start a diary/journal, a la Harriet the Spy. I told them that Harriet the Spy really wasn't very nice, and that she wrote mean things about a lot of people, including her friends. I encouraged A only to write nice things, or if she wanted to write not-so-nice things, then she should only write about people she didn't know.

En route to Yogiberry, she decided to write about things that she saw. Here is the list she wrote:

Somebody pooping in the trash can. Boy and girl kissing. Somebody picking their nose. Somebody smacking a pie in some body's face.

I was driving, so I can't really vouch for the list, but I am fairly certain that at least two of those things didn't really happen.

I don't have M's journal (A left hers in my purse) but I will investigate later tonight.

Here are some cute pictures of the girls and their friends from the last day of Sunday School.

A diary for each girl is such a good idea. The photos are adorable, and the girls are so beautiful. Thanks for the blog.
