Here is what we did tonight when I got home from work.
1) Finished homework. M had to write three sentences about predictions – what are they, why are they helpful, and how do predictions help us with reading? A had to interview me about what I do for work and write three sentences: "She works for Discovery. She helps manage Discovery's Facebook pages. She helps Discovery understand what people think of its TV shows." A had math homework – fractions – and also had to do some make-up work from what she missed at school the last two days.
2) Walked to Broad Branch Market for ice cream. The girls went in and bought cones (oreo ice cream) and paid for them, while I waited outside with Allie.
3) Walked home.
4) Wrote two thank-you notes. The girls are each writing one thank-you note each night. Tonight's were to Regan and Lily.
5) Watched American Idol. My favorite got voted off.
Bedtime.
It was interesting to read that the girls bought and paid for their own ice cream cones. They are becoming more and more independent, which is wonderful. I’m so proud of both of them.
