Miscellany

I went to Let's Dish tonight to make meals. M always says that she hates when I go to Let's Dish because I get home so late. I made it home tonight in time to say goodnight to them and give them lots of hugs and kisses. And I made LOTS of meals.

Tomorrow is A's announcement at school! She will talk about an African-American that she admires.

I made a list tonight of all of the things I call the girls:

  • Puppers
  • HipHoppers
  • FrootLoopers
  • Cuties
  • Tinies
  • Ballerinas
  • Poopers
  • Pooperscoopers
  • Wigglers
  • Beauties
  • Snoopers
  • Wigglepups
  • Guysies
  • Snickers
  • Snickerdoodles

It's usually like this: "Good morning, Wigglers!" or "Come on HipHoppers, let's get in the car" or "You are my tinies."

M wrote the following at school. She had to write a story about one of the sentences on a piece of paper:

" 'I took a picture with my camera.' I took thousands and thousands of pictures with my own camera. It's a Nikon camera and there's a lot of different colors for the Nikon camera but I picked maroon. I love cameras it's like they remember are [our] lifetime for us. It is soooo fun having a CAMERA!"

OMG, another funny story. Daddy came home from NY on Friday and mentioned that he had some presents for the girls from Grandma Dina. Then he tried to get M to talk about other things ("How was school? How was your spelling test?") and she kept asking him for the presents. He god annoyed that she only wanted the presents. Then finally she said to him, "Daddy, do you remember being 5 or 6?" He said, "Yes, why?" And she said, "Then you know why I am focused on the present!" We thought that was brilliant.

Dina says:

Yes, and Daddy WAS very excited when he got presents at age 6! What’s even better is that Maddie read her whole book within 24 hours of receiving it—and then called to tell about the many facts that she had learned from it!
