Hanukkah Recap

It has been a crazy week. Tuesday I had to go to NY overnight. Daddy is out of town. Yesterday and today I had an offsite meeting downtown. So I am totally behind on everything.

BUT – last night, I had a break between 5 and 6:30, which was right when the girls were rehearsing, and I was one block away from them, so I met them at the Warner Theater to see them rehearse. Grandma Sandy and Imogene brought them downtown since I wasn't able to take them (THANK YOU!). The rehearsal was adorable, as usual! They were so cute.

I left the work dinner early and made it home in time to celebrate the first night of Hanukkah. We lit the lights, and then the girls gave me their birthday presents – they each made something at the pottery place. M made a menorah and A made a unicorn. They are lovely gifts.

We had a chat (nice word for it – it was more like a fight) last night about appreciating gifts and saying thank you. And not just rushing on to the next gift. I did notice a difference tonight – the girls were more appreciative and sweeter about what they got.

Last night, they got some new clothes – shirts, pajamas, mittens. Tonight they got an iCarly wall calendar and a Madeline board game. Cute stuff.

Yay for Friday tomorrow! Daisy Troop,  consecration ceremony at Temple Sinai, and then a Hanukkah party at Grandma Sandy's. First performance at the Warner is on Saturday!
