Rehearsals

The girls had another long rehearsal tonight. Here is what happens when they come out of rehearsal and meet me: A is excited and enthusiastic and tells me how much fun she had; M lets out a veeerrrryyy long moan and says she hates long rehearsals and that she had a terrible time. Then M has a bite to eat (usually a snack from the fundraising food table) and she is much more positive about the whole thing. The head of the Washington Ballet, who choreographed this version of The Nutcracker, was there yesterday and today, which was fun for the girls. A also went up to Donna, who runs the whole thing, and asked about her bumblebee costume today – apparently it is very cute. Big stinger, blue wig, antennae, and lots of ruffles.

Looking forward to the performances (understatement). I plan to attend all of them; Daddy will go to most but may be traveling some. We have lots of family and friends attending too on various dates.

Tonight I was talking to the girls about their friend Emily. I said, "You guys really like Emily a lot." M said, "I can never say no to Emily." It made me laugh.

Just realized I didn't do a "By The Numbers" post, as I usually on Sundays. Sorry, Lisa – I know those are your favorites. 🙂

Some pictures from the Veteran's Day performance. (They had to wear red, white and blue.) The little boy standing next to A is named Max, and he totally cracks me up. He has since he was 2.

Thank you for the great pictures. The girls seem to be enjoying the entire thing — although M is less enthusiastic. However, A seems to be having a ball. They are so cute.
Love,
Aunt Ann

You made up for the lack of numbers by including lot of pictures. M & A are looking so grown up! 🙂
