Election Night

Day 2 of the book baskets went well. M read a book about a report card, and A read a book called "The Littlest Leaguer", which she said she didn't really like. But I love that they both read level-appropriate books when they got home from school.

M brought her new needlepoint pillow to school today for Show and Tell, but her teacher forgot to do Show and Tell, so she is going to bring it back tomorrow.

The girls were vaguely interested in the election returns tonight, though they were more interested in the Mary Poppins performance on "Dancing With The Stars". (Grampy – does ABC own the Mary Poppins musical? How else do we explain that?) A asked "Is a senator good?"

It's cold here. Yuck.

How great that M and A like the Book Baskets. It’s a wonderful idea. It’s cute that A asked if a Senator is good. Mary Poppins dancing is more fun to watch.
Love,
Aunt Ann
