Soggy Field Trip

I chaperoned a field trip this morning for M's class. It was a bit miserable. The class had to walk from school to a bookstore about a half-mile away. It was POURING rain. Tornado watch type of rain. We were already drenched just from getting from the car to the school, and THEN we had to go back out and walk to the bookstore. The book reading was fun – an illustrator/guitar player was there, and he was very entertaining. But the walk was unpleasant and all the poor kids were drenched by the time we got back. M and I decided that we did have a good time being together, though.

It was fun to check in on A at school too. She was having a good time doing a writing exercise with her friends Jessie and Abigail.

Tonight the girls made a fish tank out of construction paper. It is so cute. They also got married in the living room. M was the boy and A was the girl, and M gave A a ring.

I have a new iPad and the girls are enjoying playing with it.

Mommy and M had quite an experience walking in the downpour. It’s good to know that both of you enjoyed the illustrator/guitar player.
M and A have such wonderful imaginations. Building a fish tank sounds like fun, and I’m sorry I missed their cute wedding.
Love,
Aunt Ann
