We are all tired tonight. The girls are asleep – M was complaining of being tired while we were doing homework. I am going to need to go to bed soon too! Tomorrow I go to NY for an overnight trip, back on Wednesday.
We read Chapter 4 of September's Mother-Daughter Book Club book tonight – All of a KInd Family. We still have about 130 pages to go, but the book club won't meet until toward the end of September.
A did her first night of homework tonight – she had to draw a picture of a new friend she has made at school. She picked a girl named Ellie. M had to draw a picture of an example of government helping out communities. She picked "the government is building me a playground" and then drew a picture of her new playground at school.
OK, to bed.
M and A had good ideas for drawing their homework assignments. Good for them. Being in the first grade is more demanding than their previous school experience. However, those bright and clever young ladies will do extremely well.
