Today was M & A's last day of school. They had a picnic, which had to be moved inside due to rain. There were three moonbounces, face-painting, and tons of treats: pizza, bagels, cotton candy, cake, popsicles, and watermelon. It was definitely bittersweet – hard to leave a wonderful community of teachers and parents, the girls' teachers Eileen and Alyssa, and just the whole pre-school environment. They have had three great years there.
We brought some gifts for their teachers today – a pitcher and margarita glasses for Alyssa and a cake plate for Eileen. And two gift receipts just in case. The girls were very excited to bring the two Crate and Barrel boxes in and present them to their teachers.
So… summer officially begins tomorrow. It's supposed to rain all day.
Here are a whole bunch of photos. Let's take them chronologically. First, some more photos from my visit to NY. The first pic is of Jonathan, Tuvana and me, and the second is of Jonathan and the all-star band that came on after his gig. The guy with glasses and spiky hair is Earl Slick.
And now, as promised, the movie theater the girls made in the entryway:
And some pics of the girls at the picnic today:
And finally some photos that M took at the picnic. I love seeing events through her eyes.

Love the great photos of everyone and everything. What a wonderful keepsake for all of you. I’m sure M and A will miss their first school but will learn to love regular school too.
Love,
Aunt Ann
