We have gotten two exciting things in the mail this week.
Yesterday, we got a note from a soldier in Afghanistan thanking us for the care package we sent last month.
And today, this came in the mail from Amazon:
Tonight after work the girls and I spent a while making a new potholder. I hadn't done one of those in over 30 years. M had a hard time with the weaving, but stick with it tenaciously. A was actually quite adept, but when I pointed out one little mistake, she got frustrated and pulled the loop out and wanted to stop. She did do a great job helping me finish off the edges at the end.
The girls had good jobs at school today: A was Bathroom Control and M was Job Announcer.
It's 25 degrees outside and both girls put on short-sleeve nightgowns after bath. Daddy convinced M to wear a pair of long sleeved pajamas underneath hers, but A is wearing it on its own.
Very cool! I want to send a care package to a soldier. What organization did you do it through?
You are so thoughtful and generous to send a care package to a soldier. It was cute to read how the girls reacted to weaving potholders. That’s a fun project that the girls will learn to enjoy.
Love,
Aunt Ann
