Inauguration Weekend

I haven't posted in a few days because we have been very busy with the Inauguration and lots of people in town. Grandma Dina and Grandpa Ron came on Friday evening, and Darrah and Jason arrived on Saturday. We've been doing a lot of hanging out at home as well as going to parties and other festivities. On Saturday night, we celebrated Grandpa Ron's birthday at a family dinner at Lia's. The girls and Daddy made him a chocolate cake that day, which we ate after dinner. Sunday, we hung around a bit at home, doing puzzles and spending time with visiting friends. We've watched the Inauguration Concert and seen Barack Obama on TV quite a bit, and the girls are very excited to go see the parade tomorrow. They keep asking when Obama is going to become president.

We keep going out at night, which the girls don't like so much!

Today we took M to the ENT to investigate her nasal issues (mouth breathing, snoring, hard time pronouncing certain sounds (ER), huge tonsils, etc.). He'd like us to do an x-ray to see how big her adenoids are, and we'll go from there.

That's the report from Inauguration Central. More after the balls, parade and swearing-in.

This is a very exciting time for everyone. I watched every minute of the inauguration today. At last Obama is now our President. It must have been very hectic there in D.C. with all the ceremonies and hoopla going on. And millions of people visiting there.
I hope M feels better. Tonsils can cause lots of problems. Give her my love and tell her I’m thinking of her.
Love,
Aunt Ann
