Here is a guest post from Buppie, along with some photos.
As you know, yesterday I had the girls over for lunch. They were to stay until Imogene called, saying she was ready to receive them at home. Also, I had a friend show up, who was visiting from Israel. Here's how the twenty minutes played out.
Doorbell rings, in walks Byron. I introduce him to the girls. He does a cursory hello and asks whether he might use my computer to email his family. He disappears upstairs. I start to get the girls ready to leave (that can take a while, as you know). We find a button on the floor. I suggest it might be Byron's, and want to simply put it on the table. No, A wants to return it to him. She asks me to accompany her upstairs to hand it over. plead fatigue and don't want to climb the stairs again. A then asks M. The two trudge off. I wait and I wait. "I'm ready to go-o-o," I call out again and again. No answer. The next thing I know, Byron's coming downstairs to get the flash card for the computer. He wants to show the girls his family. They're carrying on conversations and have entirely won him over. Surprise, surprise!
Love, Buppie
And some photos from lunch.

Dear Buppie,
M and A are having a wonderful time at your house — lots of good food and fun. Lucky girls. The photos are fabulous.
