Home Improvement Day

I am slowly trying to get the girls’ room into shape. Today was a jaunt to Gaithersburg to get: 1) a new night stand that matches their beds (clearance for only $99 – score!); 2) a lamp – I found the cutest one that has a house at the base, and you can light up the lights inside the house as a nightlight (originally $80, marked down to $40, I paid $19.99); 3) a toy box at Target which I assembled tonight; and 4) a basket for the dress-up clothes that seem to reside permanently on the first floor.

I also got M&A snow pants/bibs for skiing in December. They are enormous, but Target didn’t have two pairs in a 4T. I guess we will somehow roll them up. The good news is that they should last through a few more winters. And I couldn’t resist two new girls’ dresses at Target too. (I love Target.) (Though I always spend way too much money there).

So, the room is slowly coming together.

Here’s what I bought (minus the lamp and one of the dresses, which I can’t find online):

It sounds like M and A have a complete room now. I’m sure they will enjoy everything. It won’t be long before they grow into their ski clothes. The new things you bought for their room look lovely. Lucky girls!

Aunt Ann
