I am back from my weekend of cruising! It was a lot of fun, and I had a good time meeting some other moms, but I am happy to be back. The girls were so deliciously cute when they came up the stairs from the basement to greet me. They were being very quiet, because Baby was asleep downstairs (under Cousin Baby as a blanket). It was adorable. They had a great weekend with Daddy and were in good spirits today, despite not having school and spending the whole day inside. (Poor Imogene.)
I told the girls a lot about the trip, and they were very interested. I told them about the sharks I saw at Atlantis (where you walk underneath the sharks in a walk-through aquarium); about the cute animal shapes that the room steward made out of towels on my bed at night; about karaoke; and about the friends I met, including some firemen who told me all about what their jobs are like.
Daddy has a blog post about the weekend which I will post as well.
I am glad not to be traveling again for a while.
Tonight, when I was putting the girls to sleep, A said, "You know what I am going to dream about tonight?" I said "What?", thinking it might be about ballet, or Clara, or Allie. She said, "I am going to dream about ‘I’m John McCain, and I approved this message.’"
