Here’s what’s on the agenda for tomorrow:
9:15 School dropoff
11:15 Pick M up at school
11:30 M dentist appointment
2:00 M & A flu (non)shot appointment
4:00 Ballet
6:00 Pajama party in Bethesda to raise money for girls’ school
Whew.
It’s going to be a busy day.
Tonight, the girls decided they wanted to act out a wedding. First M said she wanted to marry A. A said, "You can’t marry me – you’re supposed to marry a boy." M said, "That’s not true. Mommy said that a girl can marry a girl." I confirmed that that was the case – that girls can marry each other, though it doesn’t happy as often as girls marrying boys. M said, "So A, I want to marry you." A thought about it and said, "Well, I think I want to marry a boy." So M decided (once again) that she wants to marry me.
We auditioned a potential babysitter tonight. She grew up three blocks from here, went to NCS, is going to law school in the fall, and works at a litigation consulting firm by Dupont Circle. Yeah, I liked her. Didn’t talk her out of law school. Yet. And she drives! Yay!
The girls wanting to practice a wedding was so cute. A wants to marry a boy and M wants to marry you. How precioius. They certainly have a busy schedule. Good luck with your new babysitter.
Love,
Aunt Ann
