And…. we’re back.

I had a lovely few days in Portland. I got to see some family – Aunt Ann and our cousins Jan and Mike. They were lovely and kind and went out of their way for me. Many thanks! I also saw lots of old friends and went to a fun and beautiful wedding. Not bad!

But I am back in DC with the girls and it is very good to be home. We had a long and busy day today. The girls got up early, and we hung around the house for a few hours. Then we got their bikes fixed – M’s needed air in the back tire and A’s needed the wheel trued. We grabbed a bagel lunch while we were waiting, then did the grocery shopping, and then went home and met Daddy, who had just returned from a conference in Florida.

Then it was off to a fun birthday party at Candy Cane Park, and then the girls rode their bikes!! They did great. M rode for a long time, and A got on and off. I went for a run and met them at the end. Then home… dinner… shower… books… and now  am finally on the couch with my feet up.

The girls said some really funny things this weekend and I can’t seem to remember any of them! Grrr. I hate that. I need to write them down, every time. Sorry for the boring post – from now on I am writing these things down.

I WILL note, however, that the girls were just adorable all weekend and that they are the cutest things in the world.

(Still no naps.)
