Today was the girls’ first day of soccer! They did great. A wanted to stop and hang out with me a few times, but I made her get back in the group, and she did fine. They have some friends in the group – Old Aidan, new friends Molly and Eve, and their best friend, Abigail. Lots of running around and exercise, and an excellent instructor. Photos at the end.
I told the girls that I would be going to a wedding on Friday of an old friend, very far away. A got upset and said that she wants to go to a grownup wedding and doesn’t understand why kids aren’t invited. I told her that she was going to go to Aunt Darrah’s wedding, and reminded her that she got to go to Christina and Mikey’s wedding. She said, "But I want to be invited to the weddding of someone I don’t know!!!"
Tuvana and Aliya are in town and stopped over tonight to bring us some yummy desserts. Great to see them – the three girls played together very well.
After soccer I took the girls to get haircuts. A was SO GOOD. In the past she has freaked out a bit, refusing to go first, not sitting still, not wearing "the cape," etc. But tonight she was patient and sat still and went first! I was so proud of her.
So, as I mentioned, I am going to a wedding in Portland on Friday. I am leaving tomorrow and will return on Saturday. So… no blogging for me for a few days.
Here are a few photos and a video from soccer. I love that the shin guards go up to their knees. Also, in the video – if you look carefully you can see M&A kicking their balls across the screen. (They are both wearing white shirts).
Love the video. Let me know when their next practice (if that’s what you call it) because I would love to stop by for a visit. I need to get the girls some soccer outfits so they look professional!! 🙂
Love the photos and the video. M and A look adorable with their chin guards. They seem to be having lots of fun. Their haircuts are so cute.
Love,
Aunt Ann
That is so cute. I can’t believe they are already playing soccer! Have fun in Portland!
