Whew. I feel like I ran a marathon today. (Not that I could).
The girls had a mid-afternoon birthday party, which meant no nap. I took them out to run errands for a few hours beforehand… then lunch… then the party… then more errands and stuff at home. Long day. But fun. The girls were very sweet and tolerant of running errands with me – the garden store, the hardware store, a vain search for a running watch, etc. The birthday party was pretty fun, though A was clingy with me and M had a head-on collision with another kid that put a damper on her fun. It was a beautiful day and I introduced the girls to smoothies for the first time. Yum.
Yesterday was a very rainy day, and we did the three things we set out on the agenda to do the night before: put away new fall clothes and cleaned out closet/drawers; made cookies; and went through the artwork in the basement to refresh the walls with current stuff that they’ve made. It looks great down there.
Also, Emily babysat last night. She was calm, cool and collected the whole time, as always. We got home late-ish (11:15) and I was too tired (in fact, completely forgot) to blog.
Here is a funny video from yesterday. It’s the girls dancing to a Wiggles song – "Get Ready To Wiggle". Note M trying to follow the Wiggles’ moves and A doing pretty much whatever she wants.
Thanks for the video. M and A are as adorable as always. All of you certainly had a full and fun day. That’s great.
Love,
Aunt Ann
