We had a busy Friday! This morning was the open house at the girl’s school. They are Pilim, which means Elephants. Their teachers are Alyssa and Eileen and they seem great. Some of their friends are in their new class – Lily, Sydney and Josh. There’s also a girl named Maya who was in their camp class this summer, and she invited the girls to her birthday party on Sunday. So we’re looking forward to that. It was a frenetic day in the classroom, with parents and nannies and siblings. A usually doesn’t do well with these transition days, and today was no exception. She cried at one point because she said that Lily, Sydney and M weren’t letting her play with them. Thankfully it blew over quickly.
Tote bags this year are red. We all guessed beforehand what color it would be – Imogene and M guessed yellow, I guessed orange, and A guessed red! She won.
Lots of errands today. Then I took the girls for dinner at the pizza place. A ate lots of huge bites at the end – I was very proud of her. There is a storm predicted and they insisted on bringing umbrellas. It was raining a little bit when we left but so far it’s pretty dry outside. After bath we had a double-header of ballet books – Little Ballet Star and Angelina Takes the Stage.
We were talking about what to do tomorrow, if it’s storming, and came up with a list of things to do. Make cookies, put away all the new fall clothes, and put new artwork up in the basement. M has a whole schedule: first put the clothes away, then make cookies and after nap put up the artwork.
M just saw me typing on the blog and said, "That’s amazing! I like all the letters!!"
The girls think anything having to do with diapers, wipes and poop is hysterical. I remember that Uncle Jonathan and I used to be like that.
The girls are stil going by Shawn Johnson and Nastia Liukin.
I hope M and A love their new class and schoolmates this year. The year will “fly” by and soon the girls will be ready for “regular” kindergarten. They have a wonderful life, thanks to Mommy and Daddy.
Love,
Aunt Ann
