The girls didn’t nap today, which meant that by 8 tonight M was very testy. Lots of complaining. She managed to poke A in the eye, and then M managed to hurt her own eye on the stairs somehow. Needless to say they both fell asleep quickly tonight.

M has chosen the same circus pop-up book to read four days in a row now. It has "surprises" under each page’s flap, and of course, by now the girls know what is under the flaps. M says, "Hmmm, I think it might be an elephant!" Of course, it is an elephant.

The girls "helped" me move my earrings from one holder to another. M helped most of the time, but A lost interest after about 3 minutes and started looking at herself in the mirror and taking three bangles and pretending they were magic rings.

Both girls are wearing my t-shirts as nightgowns. They love to pick them out of my drawer.
