Marathon Day

Today was a marathon day!

It started out with a 7:55 wakeup for N. He had an early practice before his game at 10. But what a beautiful day for a game! The Cubs won 15-4. N walked twice (three times?). He didn't get to pitch today, sadly – hopefully on Tuesday which is his next start.

Classic N comment to me during the game: "This ump has a tight zone. He’s not really enjoying the game; he’s doing this for a quick buck. "

We took Cole to and from the game. On the plus side for Cole: I took the boys for McD's after the game. On the minus side: he had to come to the music equipment store with us and deal with "the weird guy" there as I rented a clarinet for N. Cute – Cole is also taking the clarinet this year!

This afternoon we stopped at Sarah's to drop off a book. N had such a nice time petting Chloe that he asked if he could stay there. So I dropped him off there so I could go to the grocery store. While there he apparently watched the Notre Dame game with John and Sarah, jumped on the trampoline and hung out with Andrew for a bit. I think it was about an hour.

Then Grampy came over and stayed with N while I went for a run. They watched the Yankees Red Sox game. Then we had dinner in the backyard and watched the Nats game for a bit.

Tiring day!

Dad and M and A seem to be having a good time in STL. Here is a pic the girls texted me from dinner tonight. Dad says the reunion is "fun!".

They walked around the campus tonight and are going on a tour tomorrow, though A says "everyone seems to be nerds or asses". Hmm.
