Beach Report

I wasn’t planning to post from the beach, but here I am.

We’re here… the weather is nice, if a little cool. The girls enjoy being here, although they got cranky tonight from not taking a nap today. (I tried; they didn’t want to sleep).

Tonight, M&A were sitting in tall chairs in the kitchen and said, "Look! We’re lifeguards!" I said, "Oh, are you Mark?" (Mark was the name of the lifeguard on duty at the beach today). A said, "No! We’re girl lifeguards." Duh!

Tonight A said that when she grows up, she wants to be three things: a swimmer, a lifeguard, and a ballerina. M said that she wants to be a ballerina and a lifeguard, and that she wants to be a lifeguard because she likes wearing goggles and using binoculars.

Amazing how different the girls are this year vs. last year. They are are very good now at using the sand, going to the ocean to fill their pails, etc. They swam a bit in the pool today but the water was VERY cold, so cold that even Daddy wouldn’t go in.

So sad to be missing the fun at the beach this year. But both Uncle Jason and I are looking forward to Lake Chelan! I’m ready for another vacation!! On a side note, Gayle, when you get back from the beach, please send your measurements to Eleanor at Serene Rose. Thank you! 🙂
