We had a very busy night at home when I got home from work!
First, the girls informed me that they are going on a trip tomorrow. Only one night, via airplane, to California. I asked them how they were going to pay for their trip. They pulled out their wallets, and the small pieces of paper I put in their wallets, and said that they had money. A pulled out one piece of paper and said that it had "Airplane" written on it. I asked if it was her ticket, and she said yes. Then she asked me if I was going to be sad while they were gone. I said I would be sad, and asked if they were going to leave me notes to read before I went to bed. They said they would.
Then, before Imogene left, we did several rounds of Ring Around the Rosie, with someone different in the middle each time. First Buppie (who came over to watch primary returns), then M, then A, then me, then Imogene.
Before dinner, M and A and I played Candy Land. I came in third. (I may have skipped a few turns).
Then we read books. Curious George Takes a Job for the 100th time and I Love You Stinky Face for the first time. The girls were rapt; it was a hit.
Then bedtime. We played the "It’s Too Bad" game – this time with guest storyteller Buppie. She said, "It’s too bad Allie flew away." and "It’s too bad an alligator came walking up the street."
Here are some photos from last week, when the girls were putting on a puppet show for Buppie.
Thanks for the darling photos. M and A are so clever, making up things such as plane flights, etc. They are exceptionally bright and so adorable.
