Baby, It’s Cold Outside

Our tantrum-free streak was broken at about 9:45 AM, when A had a smallish tantrum before breakfast. (Note that it was before breakfast – I still maintain she was hungry). The tantrum was sparked in part because we were trying to get her to the table to eat… hence the Catch-22.

The rest of the day was smooth, though. Gymnastics went well. Everyone there commented on how limber and agile the girls are. I said that A is built like a pipe-cleaner – wiry and flexible.

After gymnastics, we came home and had lunch. Then nap, then a few Curious George books, then Daddy and the girls went to check out Addie’s new house. Then Buppie came over and babysat so Daddy and I could go out to dinner. Apparently they performed the whole Nutcracker for her. They also read Where the Wild Things Are and more of Dinosaurs Everywhere. When we came home, they were still up so we got to snuggle with them a little bit.

A few hours after we read one of the Curious George books, A then "read" it back to us – relating what happened on every page. It was quite impressive.

On tap tomorrow: creative movement class and a birthday party for New Aidan.

It’s so wonderful that the girls love books and stories. Buppie is such a good grandma.
