Dad is off to CA for work this week. N and I are are home. M is in Boston and A is in LA. We are all over the place!H went back to school today. He loves being there and starts whining excitedly as soon as he realizes we are close.
Here is today's report card:
Practiced Let’s Go and Wait; he did great as usual and didn’t struggle with either of the commands for the most part. He only struggled with Wait by the door once the door was open but has improved and waits by the door almost immediately initially.
Practiced Place with treat distractions; he was also to stay on the cot with treats nearby! He attempted to lunge towards the treats when it was initially thrown but didn’t fully step off.
Practiced Come command; he was able to come back to me when I called his name! He was also able to do this with dogs in the same area without being distracted by them.
Practiced Down with and without hand signals; he did very well and we have phased out the use of a treat lure! He was able to do the command when told the verbal cue without struggling for the most part. Practiced Down Stay; I was able to walk around him and halfway across the room without him attempting to get up.
