Not a lot of excitement happening around here today. It was a school day, which means we barely saw the girls before dinner. N was around more, but he too is in class a lot of the day. He's been playing baseball outside with Nana a lot, and he's also watching the postseason. All the teams we want to lose are winning – grr. The girls are working hard. Tomorrow is their day without classes, so while they are busy with activities, it's a nice pressure release in the middle of the week.
Sidwell had a parent coffee for 11th grade today and said that they are going to start bringing students back to school at the end of the month, but only like one day a week and not for classes. It will be for "co-curricular activities", whatever those are. The meeting left us with more questions than answers.
A is teaching herself a very difficult Debussy piece that has different tempos on the right and left hands. Her piano teacher said today that he'd never taught that piece to someone who had learned it by ear.
M was called out on a call with 300 people on it by Russell, who mentioned the work she's been doing with voter registration. She was so excited and humbled by it!
