Big day in our house tomorrow! N is turning 8. Here are all the things happening because of N's birthday:
- He had a great swim playdate here with Cole today. They had a great time. First time they've seen each other since March 13. We are hoping hey will hang out more often over the next two weeks, and then Cole leaves for MI for about a month, which is a bummer.
- Tomorrow AM Daddy will make him chocolate pancakes.
- A is making him a treasure hunt.
- M made him s'mores ice cream.
- There is a huge pile of presents under the piano, with more on the way tomorrow.
- The front yard is decorated with "HAPPY BIRTHDAY NATE" in letters.
- There is now a Nats flag hanging from one of the front pillars.
- There will be a drive by of N's friends from 4-6PM outside.
- Shake Shack will be ordered for dinner.
Not a bad birthday!! We are so excited to celebrate our new 8 year old.
Tomorrow is ALSO Grandma Sandy's birthday! We had her over for dinner tonight and sat outside on a lovely evening by the pool. She has a few surprises coming her way tomorrow too. The birthday twins had a nice long chat after dinner by the pool, and he explained to her how the MLB is structured and how the postseason comes about. HAPPY BIRTHDAY GRANDMA SANDY!
