For a kid in quarantine. N has a lot going on. Today, he had class, did reading homework, Zoomed with friends while playing Prodigy, practiced the piano, played catch at the playground, read one of his favorite Wimpy Kid books, read a book about Obama online, made a card for his teacher, played a lot of his favorite baseball game thing on the iPad (I always forget the name but today he traded for his favorite pitcher Hyun-jin Ryu), ate three meals, and generally hung out.
The girls were upstairs working all day. It will be nice when school is done and they can hang out more, but then they will have no structure in their days. That will be a challenge.
Almost birthday time!
Here is the card N made for his teacher:
It says:
THANK YOU for being such a GREAT teacher!
Ms. Fye
You help me feel special when you help me learn.
The best thing you do with our class is make us feel safe.
I think you are kind and thoughtful and I'm glad you're my teacher!
From: Nate
And instead of drawing a picture of her, he wrote "I think that you are the best teacher."
Cards will be presented tomorrow during class meeting at 9:30.
