Some little things happening around here that wouldn't make the blog under normal circumstances, but these aren't normal circumstances.
M has been making frozen coffee smoothies, some of which she has liked and some of which she has not.
N has 5 presidential Pez dispensers, all of modern presidents, and asked if there were any more. Lo and behold, on eBay there are Pez dispensers for ALL the presidents. We bid on a set of the first 5 – and we won! N learned all about eBay and my strategy of waiting til there is one minute left and then outbidding.
To shake things up, I am going to wear each of my t-shirts in order, in my drawer. I'll get rid of the ones I don't like after a day of wearing them. Here was today's (it got some questions on the video calls):
I do love this shirt.
N loves listening in to the State of the Snap. He asks questions and comments throughout.
A is lobbying for us to foster a puppy. I am tempted.
We have discovered Speculoos cookies from Trader Joe's. Too bad we can't buy any more of them!
I have ordered candy to be delivered for the second annual Easter Egg Hunt. Doesn't look like it is going to arrive in time. #lifeduringwartime
Our fridge is on the fritz. Suboptimal timing.
We splurged ($4.99!) and bought the digital download of Fanastic Mr. Fox. It is N's all-time favorite movie. I love it too, despite hating Wes Anderson.
We are on chapter 2 of Buzz Saw. I don't know how we can wring any more hours of enjoyment out of the Nats' 2019 season, but damnit, we are trying.
And that's the way it is, April 7, 2020. I leave you with a moment of brotherly-sisterly love:
If you like the cookies, you should also try the Speculoos Butter. It’s on the shelf with the nut butters. It’s really tasty!
