Where did today go??
Late wake-ups by the kids after a late night of watching TV.
The girls went biking this afternoon and did some social distancing with Alida and Jessie, which meant standing in a park 6 feet away from each other. They made some TikToks that could be PSAs for social distancing.
N had an up and down day. He did do some baseball with Daddy but he didn't enjoy the brief time we tried to teach him to ride a bike with no training wheels. On the upside: training wheels are off.
I saw Grandma Sandy briefly when I had cider from Anxo delivered to her house (they don't deliver to MD). We were socially distant but not emotionally distant.
1/3 of the trampoline has arrived.
M is hellbent on seeing the cherry blossoms so they are driving down there tomorrow AM at 6 before the crowds. I am not going. M is straightening her hair for the occasion.
I tried to go running today but there were literally 10x the number of people in RCP as usual today, which kind of defeats the purpose of all of this. Never even got out of the car.
We are going to pay M to tutor N this week while she's on break. She has set up a whole schedule which I will paste here tomorrow.
N's Sunday School teacher apparently assumes that school is done for the year because she sent us N's evaluation today. So sweet:
Hi Dan and Gayle,
I hope this message finds you and your family well. I miss teaching second grade at Temple Sinai Religious School. I particularly miss Nate's positive, vigorous energy. He was always eager to engage playfully with his friends, as well as contribute to classroom conversations regarding content. Nate recalled relevant facts, offered thoughtful opinions and asked interesting questions. He diligently added details to his art that clearly depicted his understanding of the concepts, Nate participated wholeheartedly in other aspects of Sunday school also, including, Shira (singing) with Naomi and Hebrew Through Movement with Mr. Dek.
