The girls had a late night last night and a late wakeup today. Then they biked to Kenwood to see the cherry blossoms and all the people seeing the blossoms (!). They are really enjoying the biking. They've also been in the hammock and hanging out and enjoying being on spring break, even given the circumstances.
Today I tried to impose some structure on N's day. He watched Science Mom, then I had him watch videos on the Titanic and Ancient Egypt and then I set up a whole cornucopia of art activities – drawing, folding, tracing, coloring – which held his interest for like half an hour. The rest of the day was a little biking, some baseball with Daddy, some piano, a trip to Grandma's (we stood on the front walk to say hello), some hammock time with Mommy where he told me all of the social drama in 2nd grade, and then watching a documentary on HBO called McMillion$. He went to bed very late tonight.
We had our first dinner outside, and we got takeout! First meal not prepared here in a long time. It was warm and felt like summer.
Things I've bought in the last few days: a trampoline, a new desk chair, 3 yoga mats, an assortment of vegetable seeds, contact lenses, some new shorts for N, Lucky's meds, a bunch of toiletries from Target, some books. The new economy.
We are looking into Peloton.
Tired.
