This blog has been quiet for a while because I was on a long work trip that took me out of town most of last week.
But I am back and here is a very quick update on what everyone has been up to.
M had minimester last week, which means she spent three days learning about a specific topic. She chose reproductive justice and learned all about childbirth and its many dimensions. She loved it and it was great to talk to her about everything she learned. And then on Friday she hosted a session at GDS about voter suppression. She screened a movie from Fair Fight about the many ways in which Georgia has disenfranchised voters. And she presented and held a Q&A after. It was very impressive!
A has gotten very busy managing the lacrosse team. She traveled to southern MD today in very chilly weather for a scrimmage and has learned to score the game and keep track of all of the plays. She loves watching the games and has been doing a great job as manager. She also had Quaker Day yesterday which meant a day off from regular classes.
N has been busy too. Today he went to a session where he worked on his Pinewood Derby car for Cub Scouts (it is painted a cool metallic gold, which he loves) and then we had book club. Here are all the boys wearing coordinating outfits and matching the host's house.
