Wow, I haven't posted since Sunday! It has been a crazy week. Everyone in the house had a lot going on.
- M had a busy week at school, then she led a session for MLK Day at GDS about voter suppression on Thursday, and then she left for NAIMUN conference downtown last night. She's there now and won't be home til Sunday. We miss her! She had a very busy week and is overwhelmed because a lot of her activities have weekends away this month – NAIMUN, Harvard Model Congress and FMG. So she's missing school and missing home and is generally tired and overextended.
- A had three tests this week – Chemistry, Math and History. She had a lot of studying to do. She is also starting her management of the lacrosse team next week! It looks like that is going to be a lot of work. Tonight is Galentine's Day and she and some friends are going out to dinner. She and Charlotte will also come home after dinner for a spa night.
- N had activities too – a Cub Scout banquet, tennis, piano and a Valentine's party at school today that Daddy went to. N was happy to have both parents at RHES at some point today bc Fridays are my library volunteer day.
- Daddy had a busy week with lots of meetings and dinners and work. He is very tired.
- I had a big week – the first Homesnap client conference was Tuesday/Wednesday. It went very well but I am exhausted and need a break from work for a few days.
Good news for everyone is that it's a long weekend. Yay! Today is Valentine's Day and tomorrow is Caleb's bar mitzvah.
I told N I was going to sneak some chocolates and a card into M's suitcase so she'd discover it downtown and have some V-day cheer today. He, of course, told her that about 10 minutes later. Grrr. BUT, I still snuck it in her suitcase and she didn't know, and she thought I forgot and in the end she was surprised! So that's good. N needs to work on keeping secrets. He also needs to turn his clothes right side out before he puts them in the hamper because I end up spending way more time than usual starting the laundry on Friday mornings. I explained that it keeps me from leaving earlier (I drive him on Fridays) and that seems to be a good motivator for him.
Oh, and we are almost done with a jigsaw puzzle. N likes to do puzzles and listen to podcasts with me while we do them. We have listened to one Oscars podcast and one Nats podcast. Lots of talk about those cheating Astros.
