It is the end of a very long and fun Thanksgiving weekend.
Friday was my 50th birthday and it was a very good one! M and A and I went Black Friday shopping and got a bunch of stuff they needed, like winter coats and a nice dress for A and some other clothes. Great deals too! Then I came home and M and I went to DCHC and did a HARD bootcamp workout. Then I took a rare nap and we all went to Grandma Sandy's for dinner. It was very special to celebrate with Grandma and Jonathan and Rachel and Tequila and Stu, as well as Darrah and family. Tuvana stopped by too. So I am now 50. Blergh.
The rest of the weekend has been relaxing – lots of time at home, getting things done around the house, errands, etc. The girls had the Confirmation crew plus John Bailey over last night. We saw them doing a lot of dancing and TikTok prep.
N has been busy with a lot of projects in the house. He has been collecting "tickets" every time we go up and down the stairs. There are some exceptions: we get a free trip back upstairs after we have dinner, and there is a new membership plan (seriously) where you can earn free trips up and down the stairs. We brought the old puppet theater upstairs for N to use as a ticket booth. We also managed to get the old sharpie off the theater thanks to the Magic Eraser. Daddy took N and M climbing at Earth Treks which they really enjoyed. A went dress shopping with her friend Charlotte in Bethesda.
N has also been busy creating rainbow color continua with his crayons and oil pastels.
