Ain’t No Mountain High Enough

Here's what happened here today.

A had her penultimate day of camp at Levine. They did the first of two shows. She did not want us to come to it. (I remember the Camp Levine shows from when the girls attended. They were long, and a big deal, and crammed with parents. This one seems much more low-key.) She played the piano to "Ain't No Mountain High Enough", which has been in my head all day as a result. A does not like that song. She is very ready to be done. She also debuted a new character this week – Horace, a Brit in a boy band. Apparently the kids love Horace.

N had camp. This week's classes: Art, Board Game Mania, Soccer, Sketching and Cartooning. Soccer is his least favorite. There are older kids in it who he says are not that nice. He likes art and cartooning best. Tonight we organized all the new baseball cards he's gotten from Grampy. He has a unique organization system, that's for sure. There are batches of cards in alpha order by team, but each time he gets a new influx of cards, he starts over in a new place in his card albums. So there are Nats cards, for example, in 4 places. We put away some retro classic cards tonight – those are fun.

M and the campies slept til 11:30. Then they made pancakes and then the campies left. M was in a great mood tonight because I bought her Double Gloucester With Chives cheese at TJs en route home. She said it makes her very happy to have that cheese.

Almost the end of another long workweek. Hopefully this weekend will be nice! The girls are going to NY on Sunday to spend a few days with Grandma Dina and Grandpa Ron. More on that soon!
