Big haps around here tonight.

A is home! She was in NY this week and took the bus home tonight. It is good to have her home! We watched a bunch of TikToks and caught up on Oscar memes. Hobart was very excited to see her and vice versa (obv).

Here is the bio of A that they read at the TriDelt Presents when i was there:

Alexa Feldman  (Maya Fielding)Alexa is a sophomore majoring in acting with a minor in entertainment industry who comes from Washington D.C.  She loves everything related to acting as she has starred in some student films and is involved in entertainment clubs such as Marshall Entertainment Association, Trojan Filmmakers, and Trojan Actors for Film and Television.  When not acting, Alexa loves extremely long walks, listening to and playing piano, and counting down the days until The Oscars (good news, she only has to wait one more week).  At home, you can usually find her cuddling her Timothy Chalamet pillow (very relatable) or playing with her dog Hobart.  She says she knew Tri Delta was her home when I spent all of house tours discussing chamoy pickles and Timothee Chalamet.  Her friends say she is a multi-talented, wonderful girl who is super outgoing and an entertainer at heart.

N had baseball practice tonight. After practice #2, he likes the boys and the coaches a lot. Seems like a nice team! There are enough coaches/assistant coaches that there were four different things going on at once – hitting, grounding. throwing and catching.

Meanwhile, we got this email from his teacher Kate, who is the advisor for the Geography Club:

Hi Nate–

I am writing to say “WOW” and thanks to you for your work with the Geography Club! You’ve juggled all the parts of starting up an activity from scratch, including advertising, and marketing, as well as sending slides and trivia questions during the week to keep kids engaged. And that’s even BEFORE the kids walk into the club on Tuesdays! 

Your presence in front of the group during the meeting is equally as impressive and you are running the event with the grace of an experienced teacher, including asking for feedback and how to improve!  Additionally, you have garnered the respect of the students who come to the club for your fairness and thoughtfulness in moving the group through the different activities. 

It’s fun to watch you in your element. I can’t wait to see what else you do this semester with the club, but also moving forward in life! These skills you are practicing and honing now will lead you to great things, I have no doubt!
