A lot has been going on here the last few days. I had a big work party and lots of meetings and haven't been able to post. But N had some big stuff this week.

Arts Night was Thursday night. N had a lovely painting on display and the first grade sang three songs – The Tree Song, The Zoo Song and Down By The Bay. N got pizza and Images – a typical Arts Night at Lafayette!

N's Images story:

Today, the first grade had its Zooseum. Each kid researched an animal and wrote a repot on it and made a diorama. Then the parents toured the various rooms and learned about the animals. N had the blue whale and was in the aquatic room. A lot of parents came to hear his report, and I toured around and heard abou a lot of other kids' reports.

It was extremely cute.

M's softball team is out of the playoffs after a loss to NCS yesterday. Bummer. But for the first time I can remember, M had nothing to do after school today! She came with me to N's baseball game tonight and she and N are playing catch in the yard right now. It's too dark now but they had some good catches.

Meanwhile, A is at the Sidwell play tonight. She did the actors' hair beforehand!

And Daddy is away at his college reunion. Gonna be a busy weekend.
