We are finally home from our trip out west!
We had a good trip. It felt good to be that far away from home for that long, and of course good to come home. I think because Seattle and Montana are so physically different from DC, it certainly felt like we were in a different place.
Seattle was a lot of fun. We celebrated Dina's 80th birthday and, two days later, Olivia's bat mitzvah. Olivia did a fantastic job – she was poised, confident and eloquent. She participated in a lot of the service and she did a wonderful job leading the congregation. We had a lot of good hanging out time with the cousins, and N especially enjoyed spending a lot of time with Sydney and Eden.
Memorable moments:
-the kids' toasts to Grandma Dina at her party, including M's lovely speech and A's very impressive list of 80 adjectives that describe Grandma Dina
-M&A singing beautifully at Olivia's service
-Dina's slideshow
-driving around Seattle (and the Elliott Bay Bookstore!)
-N's happiness at being with his cousins
-A got a major haircut! Almost a foot off. It looks awesome.
I have a million photos to post. I don't know where to start! I'll just include a few for now.
I am having technical difficulties and will post more tomorrow!
Great photos, wonderful “memorable moments”, fabulous family milestone enjoyed thoroughly by all! Mashallah!! We just arrived in Dubai – everything terrific! Dina
