I am home sick – bleh – but have N and H here for company to make me feel better. Dad is off to CA for a conference for a few days. Before I fall asleep again, I want to catch up on what the kids have been up to.
Yesterday Grandma Sandy and I drove up and back to Princeton to see M. We had a great time. We got a tour (Grandma had never seen Princeton), had brunch in the Rocky dining room, saw her room, and drove around downtown Princeton. Some pics:
Cool panoramic pic. ^^
Meanwhile A spent the weekend filming a student film which she tried out for and was cast in. It is about an artist and here are some stills from the shoot:
So cool.
And N had a Quiz Bowl tournament at Burleigh Manor school. Here is the summary that Randy sent to GDS today:
On Sunday, November 17th, eight GDS middle schoolers competed at the Burleigh Manor Middle School Invitational Tournament in Ellicott City. Out of 48 teams, GDS A (Max Badel (6th), Nate Feldman (7th), Hugo Gonen (5th), and Ezra Saunders (8th)) finished in 5th place, and GDS B (Paul Bloch-Prime (6th), Oliver Elleithee (6th), Jason Saferstein (6th), and Caleb Simon-Ratner (6th)) finished in 12th place.
Here are some texts Dad sent from the tournament with some notable question topics:
No one had read To Kill a Mockingbird. Sad.
Round 3 corrects – Snape, FDR, Stanley Cup, California. Won 515-55.
Round 4 – Niger/France. Won 420-90.
Round 5 – Israel, Hamilton, Somalia, Mayorkas. Won 380-285.
And M sent these pics today from ROTC. I think it was a drone drill? I need her to explain what was going on.
