N’s Informance, Last Soccer Games and Grampy’s Birthday

There was a lot going on this weekend! I haven't posted since Friday, which was the day of N's informance. It was so cute. They did a number of patriotic songs (Grand Old Flag, This Land Is Your Land, Star Spangled Banner, etc.) and each 1st grader had a line about some part of American history. N's line was "The 13 colonies existed between 1607 and 1776". He did a great job on it.

Here he is coming in:

I'll upload some videos of the songs this week.

Friday night we saw Metamorphosis at GDS. Aidan was in it. It was really good! I enjoyed it a lot, perhaps more than the others.

Saturday was N's last soccer game for the season. They opened the game with the Star Spangled Banner (which each of them knew thanks to the informance!). This is them saluting below:

Today was M's last soccer game. She said her coach said, "You guys played like shit, they played like shit, it was a shitshow." Hmm. I didn't think it was that bad. This was part of a tournament – M's team didn't make it to game 4 so we didn't have to hang out in Columbia for an afternoon game. We DID grab bagels on the way home and M got a seasonal drink at Starbucks which she says she wouldn't order again.

Tonight we celebrated Grampy's birthday with dinner and cupcakes here. His birthday is Wednesday. It was our first birthday celebration in the new house!
