June Haps

Soooo much has been going on around here and I’ve gotten way behind!

First, N finished 7th grade!!!

Last weekend was N’s 13th birthday! We celebrated in NY, where we were for Eden’s bat mitzvah. We had a lovely brunch at Darrah’s house, with cake (of course) and then we headed to the city, where we saw The Picture of Dorian Gray, went to the MLB Flagship store, then to Color Factory, then to Shake Shack, and then home. It was a great NYC birthday.

The bat mitzvah was great – Eden did a lovely job, and it was great to see so much family. J&L came from NJ and Tuvana came to the reception on Sat night. A bit of a whirlwind weekend.

Cousins:

N’s baseball season came to an end on Friday before we went to NY, sadly. They lost their semifinal game right before we hit the road for NY. It made for a much less complicated Sunday, but it was sad to see the season end because we loved the team. Great kids and coaches.

A flew back to LA on Sunday night after the show and started her internship at Dreamworks on Tuesday So far she really loves it! The first day was amazing, the second day was boring (orientation videos) and we haven’t heard about day 3 yet. We miss having her home.

M has been keeping her usual schedule of doing a million things, cramming in a lot of activities and seeing lots of people. Tonight for example, she did yoga at the Cathedral in between a graduation party and making cookies and some conference calls.

We also celebrated Grandma Sandy’s birthday (same as Nate’s!) on Monday night when we got back, with dinner at Woodmont Grill. Grandma has been feeling well, which is great great news.

Tomorrow, more pics of N and baseball related stuff – tonight he went to the Os-Tigers game and sat in the owner’s box and watched BP from the warning track!
