Tonight we took N to see Christopher Robin, a movie coming out on Friday that I got blogger preview tickets for. I thought it was pretty good. N thought it was sad and scary at times but in the end I think he liked it.
Here is an update from Camp Louise:
Hi Unit F Families,
Yesterday’s activity periods started with workshops, where Unit F campers were all over camp doing photo, multimedia, and arts and crafts activities (to name a few). Then, Bunk 6 and 14 went back to their bunk for some chill “Bunk Time,” Bunk 13 grape-vined their way across the social hall floor in folkdance, and Bunk 15 twirled in the aerial silks in Aerial Arts. After lunch, Bunks 6 and 14 went to Arts and Crafts to tie dye, make leather bracelets, and paint canvases. Bunks 13 and 15 got their turn to hang as a bunk, making string bracelets and playing fun bonding games. The girls then headed to the first day of another workshop that will last throughout the week, and then the entire unit headed to the pool. Some campers went swimming, and some played cards and jacks in the pool patio!
After dinner, campers participated in Camp Louise’s philanthropy event, Louise Lends a Hand. Campers learned about “philanthro-parties”- throwing a party with a purpose; a gathering that makes "giving" part of the fun. Campers learned ways to make change and give back, and even helped make food to send to a homeless shelter.
This morning was a foggy one on the mountain, but that doesn’t stop the fun at Camp Louise. Bunks 6 and 13 went on the Adventure Park and Bunks 14 and 15 went on the Ropes Course. Both of these activities, led and supervised by our amazing outdoors staff, stress teamwork, perseverance, and pushing yourself outside of your comfort zone! After lunch, we boarded buses and headed out of camp for the afternoon. We met up with Airy’s Unit F at the bowling alley! The girls had a great time bowling, eating pizza, and dancing on the bowling lanes.
Sounds fun!
After a late dinner, we had buddy bunk night. The girls were so excited to meet their “little sisters” and play fun ice breakers and bonding games with their little bunks. It was a great day here at Camp Louise!
