Some emails we received from N's teacher tonight:

Hope you both are having a good week. Wanted to share that in observing Nate during recess he's been much more engaged with playing with his peers and has been participating in games. It's been pretty consistent the last 7-8 school days so wanted to let you know, progress!

Whatever the case he's been spending more time playing with peers than what we've typically seen. If chess is a downer for him you can always amp up the tennis/sports—he was really into the cooperative games today during Field Day. ​Small steps, big change right? He's really transformed this year in so many ways so my hunch is other areas are in line to follow. 

He’s a delight and makes the job incredibly satisfying. I’m really going to miss him! Thank you so much for the encouraging words.
